Well, if safety is your main concern too, then here is a list of some of the safest locations in India for female travellers travelling alone. 

Sikkim: Deep in the Eastern Himalayas, Sikkim is a heavenly place with untouched nature, pleasant summers, snowy winters, fantastic sights, and rich Buddhist culture.

Pondicherry: Pondicherry is known for its peaceful atmosphere, picturesque beaches, and French-inspired culture, notably in its Parisian cafes, colourful houses, and French street names! Pondicherry’s beaches, ashrams, cycling tours, and pubs offer unique experiences for women travellers.
